A great little seafood restaurant. |

Abasto is the perfect place for a long lazy hazy Sunday morning/afternoon breakfast or lunch. The concept they are going for is good wholesome home cooking: fresh ingredients, simple preparations, respect for the diner, and an overall commitment to flavor. What you won’t find at Abasto is fusion or pretention; what you will find is simplicity and excellent food. There is a lot to choose from considering Abasto offers the specials menu, a breakfast menu, and a lunch menu. I drooled over all three and have decided that I must return for the Sunday Roast. For all my wine drinking amigos out there, wowee zowee are the two words to describe Abasto’s wine list. I recommend the Montes. Time to work off some of that food, but before peddling back into ciclovia, spend some time in the ‘world famous’ (according to my online Google search of the event) Usaquen Flea Market. There are two areas and both are well worth the wander. I have a list a mile long of things to buy; now I just need a wallet a mile thick to make it happen. With Christmas just around the corner, this is a great place to find presents for all your friends and family, especially if you shop after a few bottles of Montes. - Submitted by The Gringa Review this restaurant - Contact Us.
